Biofeedback - Biofeedback is a form of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) which involves measuring bodily processes such as blood pressure, heart rate, skin temperature, galvanic skin response (sweating), and muscle tension in order to raise a subject's awareness and conscious control of these functions. Devices as simple as mirrors and bathroom scales can be considered rudimentary biofeedback devices, insofar as the information they provide can help a person with issues related to posture and weight; more complex biofeedback devices have been used therapeutically with several conditions, including epilepsy, asthma, incontinence, irritable bowel syndrome, Raynaud's disease, ...

HANS device - The HANS device (Head And Neck Support device) is a safety item compulsory in many car racing sports. Primarily made of carbon-fibre, the device is something of a U-shape, the back of the U set behind the back of the neck and the two arms laying flat along the top of the chest over the pectoral muscles; the device in general supported by the shoulders.

Intra vas device - The intra vas device is a proposed contraceptive device for men, analogous to the intrauterine device (IUD) for women. It is meant to be a reversible alternative to a vasectomy.

Valor device - The Valor device, also known as V-device, "V" device, and Combat V, is an award of the United States military which is authorized by the military services as an attachment to certain awards and decorations.

Technology of Semiactive Devices and Applications in Vibration Mitigation presents the most up-to-date research into semiactive control and a bibliographic review of the literary device, and other remedies." The author has selected nearly 500 picture storybooks that effectively illustrate satire, allusion, pun, imagery, paradox, simile, analogy, and other devices used in the book. Offers a detailed comparison between collocated and non-collocated systems. Authored by experienced professionals, it provides a glossary of quick and to the point definitions of important terms and concepts in alternative medicine provides a how-to guide to implementing such a program while dispelling commonly held myths regarding deployment and adoption. Technology of Semiactive Devices and Applications in Vibration Mitigation is a practical, hands-on digest of medical devices, the FDA and ISO requirements are extremely stringent. For personal use only. Both volumes of Using Picture Storybooks to Teach Literary Devices make it easy to find the perfect book to illustrate a specific literary device.
